  8. Achievements: The major achievements of the Company are given below:
    1. Tea Exports: AYCL, the only CPSE in the Indian tea industry, operates 15 Tea Gardens in Assam and West Bengal. In FY 2022-23, they achieved a significant +431% increase in tea exports (7.22 lakh Kgs. with FOB Rs.27.16 Cr), both CTC and Orthodox, to countries like the UK, UAE, and Poland.
    2. Retail Growth: AYCL's retail sector experienced a substantial +38% YoY growth in FY 2022-23. The company implemented strategic plans, including supplying teas to institutions like Canteen Stores Department and NAFED, and engaging with cooperative societies like NACOF and Kendriya Bhander for further market expansion.
    3. Tea Tourism Initiative: AYCL ventured into Tea Tourism at its MIM Tea Estate at a height of appx. 5000 ft. in Darjeeling. One Assistant Manager Bungalow, which was lying vacant and therefore, in order to utilize ideal assets 1st Homestay was started in the month of May, 2022. One Existing Manager Bungalow was converted into Guest House and two more Guest Houses were identical to the 1st Homestay were constructed with 13 rooms including suits in four Bungalows.
    4. Engineering Division: AYCL's Engineering Division demonstrated efficiency with an +8% increase in turnover, +340% growth in PBT, and +9% growth in Capacity Utilization in comparison to the previous year.
    5. Electrical Business Turnaround: AYCL's Electrical Unit, which faced closure threats due to labor unrest, made a remarkable comeback. It achieved a record turnover of INR 103.42 Crore, marking a +77% growth on a YOY basis in FY 2022-23. The unit's capacity utilization also significantly improved, reaching 81% compared to the previous year's 62%.
